For example, my friend told me about a cruise control system on a new car: it will sense that you are approaching a car, automatically slow down, then resume your previous speed when the car is no longer an obstruction! 

But with all of that, treadmills today simply cannot shut off after sensing that a human body has just slammed into it. But maybe it’s better that way…
